Great Things Never Come From Comfort Zones

At a very young age I learned to adventure outside my comfort zone and attack my goals. When I was in middle school, I decided I wanted to be a part of a team. I didn’t play sports nor did I know the first thing about them. I made the choice to join the field hockey team. I didn’t know a single thing about the game, I didn’t know a single person on the team. All I knew was that I wanted to be a part of it and I wanted to work towards being a remarkable athlete. More times than I can count I wanted to quit. I failed over and over again and I remember the feeling of disappointment every time I couldn’t perfect something I was trying to learn. However, I never gave up and I ended up succeeding in the sport more than I expected. I became the leading scorer for three years straight, I was welcomed onto the varsity team as a sophomore in high school, and I ran the top four fastest miles on the team.
